Today I was honored & blessed to be able to attend the L.A. County Women's Leadership Conference.
There were many inspiring speakers & leaders.....
The one that touched & excited me the most was Martha from Girl Rising. The Girl Rising Project is about girls world wide overcoming traditional roles (of slavery and lack of education forced upon them by their cultures)... It is about their fight for freedom. It is about their fight for education. It is about their fight for self-liberation & the liberation of other girls in their culture who suffer the same injustices & impoverishment.
I urge you to take the time to watch the trailer to their film..... It will rock your soul & your world!

I so wish to say more, but my words are not enough..... The least I can do in order to support & further the goal of these young girls, and others like them is to share their stories.....
We talk about being "feminist"... Too many people, especially & inclusing women believe that to be a "bad" thing, when in Reality it is merely about equal rights to: life, education, employment, and humane treatment.
At the Vancouver Peace Summit of September 2009, the Dalai Lama proclaimed himself to be a "Feminist".

He also stated at the 2009 Vancouver Peace Summit: "The World Will Be Saved By the Western Woman".
This is where Western Women like: Martha Adams; Hollye Dexter, Amy Ferris, Samantha Dunn of http://www.theshameprom.com/ ; and Barbara Bush of http://www.girleffect.org/about/ are making a difference world wide within the culture of the feminine.
Along w/ viewing the trailer of http://www.girlrising.com/girl-rising/, I urge each & every one of you to also Read the Girl Declaration
Be a part of the change, be a part of the healing..... The healing will be come you and your soul will sing as it soars!
