OPPOSE the Dark Act:
Time is running out to make your voice heard! Congress is considering the Deny Americans the Right to Know – or DARK – Act, which would block all states from requiring labeling of genetically engineered foods.
Big Food lobbyists – including the industry front group calling itself The Coalition for Safe Affordable Food – are pulling out all the stops to get this bill passed.
We need a supernova of opposition right now to protect our right to know what we're eating!
Use the form to sign EWG's petition calling on your member of Congress to oppose the DARK Act!
As a supporter of Environmental Working Group, I urge you to strongly oppose Rep. Pompeo's H.R. 4432, which would keep consumers from knowing whether their food is genetically engineered.
Consumers overwhelmingly support labeling of genetically engineered food, but the Pompeo bill would block states and the FDA from requiring labeling, codify the current failed voluntary labeling system and create a “review” system based on industry science.
The Pompeo legislation keeps consumers in the dark. I urge you to oppose it.
