A downtown resident captured this photo of a pipeline that ruptured over the weekend. He told our content partner, Arkansas Times, that he thought a plane crashed into the river.
If you look closely at the picture you can see how violent the rupture was. Water spanning the entire width of the river is shooting up into the air. No injuries, but the cause of the rupture is still being investigated.
The gas line was not in use at the time. Victoria Price will have a live report on Fox 16 News at 5:30.
