Swift River Energy begins to destroy Bala Falls

Early Wednesday morning contractors for Swift River Energy the company behind the proposal hydro plant at the Bala Falls started cutting down the trees on the Bala Falls Portage.

A crew showed up with their truck boarded on both sides to cover company logos. Two previous contractors refused to do the work for Swift River Energy.

The contractors vehicle became stuck and had to be towed out.

Tragic news for Bala.Security, OPP and protector Peggy Peterson were on site.
