Eagles Band Leader Glenn Frey’s Death: Another Iatrogenic Incident?
In case you’re not familiar with the word iatrogenic, it means health worsened or death caused by medical interventions and pharmaceutical drugs. Sure, it could apply to non-mainstream medicine.
But alternative or holistic practitioners are more aware of the Hippocratic oath and the “first do no harm” principle than their allopathic cousins who do what the FDA/Big Pharma complex demands.
In case you’re not familiar with the Eagles or its leader Glenn Frey, they created the 1970s “California sound” with songs like “Hotel California”, which is an actual unusual hotel with unusual tenants in the Baja Region of Mexico, and my favorite “The Last Resort”.
Glenn Frey’s Recent Demise
After the Eagles band broke up, Glenn went on his own. But he and the other band members got together and created a worldwide “History of the Eagles Tour” in the summer of 2013. It grossed over $145 million.
The band’s manager, Irving Azoff, explained that for the past 14 plus years, Glenn was suffering from rheumatoid arthritis that affected different parts of his body at different times. According to Irving, throughout those 14 years Glenn was on a prescription drug or drugs for his arthritis. He refrained from naming any drug for legal reasons.
But a couple of years after the tour, Glenn had to be hospitalized in November of 2015. By then he was suffering from colitis in addition to his chronic rheumatoid arthritis. Then he developed pneumonia and died at the age of 67.
Celebrity Deaths by Modern Medicine or Iatrogenic Causes
Irving Azoff is convinced the medication itself, taken over such a long time, is what led to the “complications from rheumatoid arthritis” pronouncement of his death. The key words are complications from … whatever. One disease doesn’t usually create complications if its being properly treated. Key word, properly, not pharmaceutically or surgically.
Irving Azoff, longtime manager of The Eagles told TheWrap that the medications prescribed to Frey can lead to “disaster.” “The colitis and pneumonia were side effects from all the meds,” he said. “He died from complications of ulcer and colitis after being treated with drugs for his rheumatoid arthritis which he had for over 15 years.”
Complications usually occur from the side effects of pharmaceutical “medicines”. One source interviewed MD mentioned how long term “chemotherapy” (that’s the term she used) for rheumatoid arthritis weakens the immune system. Then the complications set in easily.
It’s my bet that whatever medications Glenn had taken over 14 years also took a toll on his gut, leading to colitis, or inflammation of the colon. Key word, inflammation. Glenn was chock full of inflammation, first with the rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disease, then probably due to his desire to continue performing, he sought out whatever doctors would prescribe to be able to perform.
From that his weakened immune system invited the pneumonia which is a very common “complication” that finishes off older folks on pharmaceuticals, especially antibiotics or antiviral drugs.
It’s too bad Glenn and other celebrities seem out of touch with alternative or holistic medical approaches. They die without anyone’s pointing out iatrogenic causes. They never do. Many, maybe most, whose death certificates read death from cancer actually died from their treatments.
When these celebrities die from cancer or whatever, it just puts more publicity on the disease as a death sentence and places mainstream medicine on top of its established shiny media pedestal while charities vie for more money for the cure, which is never found.
Big Pharma is big because of the big bucks they’ve fleeced from an ignorant and gullible public that’s been kept that way by the mainstream media that carries their advertising water. And Big Pharma’s financial wherewithal is used to corrupt government “health” agencies. Just think what would have happened if Glenn or other celebrities used cannabis, diet, or herbs for their cures.
How silly, I almost forgot the propaganda policy that continues to work over and over. If someone dies from the disease attempting to heal with natural means, which can happen, it’s highly publicized with a “see what happens if you stray from mainstream medicine” or “stay away from those quacks” tone.
If a celebrity is actually healed from whatever with natural means, it won’t get covered. Unless, someone like Suzanne Sommers puts out a book like Knockout and gets interviewed via different media outlets, mostly with that reserved cynical tone of skepticism that implies here we go, another one of those health nut kooks claiming natural cures for cancer.
But you RealFarmacy readers know better. Pharmaceutical drugs do not heal. They mask symptoms and lead to further “complications” that require more pharmaceuticals. Great business model, eh?
Almost forgot, here’s that favorite Eagles song of mine:
