Yes, it's that time again Time to plan your spring garden. How do we know if the seeds we buy for our garden are GMO free? We check the Council for Responsible Genetics listing to make sure the seed company has taken the GMO free "Safe Seed Pledge". HOWEVER - you should know that Seeds of Change is owned by Mars (GMO M&Ms, etc.) and Mars is on the wrong side of the fight for transparency and truth in GMO labeling. We do not suggest buying from Seeds of Change for this reason. (Thank you to Ralph Gallella for bringing this to our attention!)
Now is the time to order your seed catalogs to choose what to grow in your spring garden. With more and more people taking back control of their food and growing some of heir own food, there is a chance the seeds you want may sell out if you don't order early. Happy GMO free seed shopping!
