Two days before Mother's Day we honor our sisters in New York who put themselves on the line by saying no to new fossil fuel infrastructure and yes to charting a path to a viable climate future for all children.
Yesterday sixteen brave mothers and grandmothers were arrested after blocking the entrance to Crestwood's fracked-gas storage facility in Reading, NY near the shores of Seneca Lake.
The action was part of a seven month civil disobedience campaign which has seen 251 people arrested in an effort to stop expansion of gas storage near Seneca Lake.
