the portage landing at Bala Falls has fallen to the chainsaws of Swift River Energy. & where were the folks of Bala, where were the native folks from Wahta?
Swift River doesn't even have all the permits needed nor have they posted their $2 million performance bond....yet they were allowed even escorted by the OPP to cut virtually all the trees down that once lived at the Bala Falls Portage.
Why is it that virtually none of the locals even gave a damn???
There are no excuses...none..Peggy Peggy Peterson, with the help of a few friends tried valiantly to hold the line....
prayers & tobacco are not enough when man is greedy...
