From NPR: wolves keep down the deer population, which allows certain trees to grow at the waters' edge. Those trees are used by the beavers to build their dams, which help increase the habitat & fish population........
SIMPLE GESTURE: Montana is proposing to create a wolf stamp to allow the public to support non-lethal wolf conservation efforts in the state. Here's where you can voice your support for this innovative idea! >>http://ejus.tc/Xw0lhr (The deadline for comments is THIS Friday 8/22)
Since Montana has a very controversial history with wolf "management" (read: wolf kills), remember to ask Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Department to:
1. Ensure that stamp proceeds are to be used only for non-lethal wolf conservation efforts
2. Change the name of the proposed stamp from "Wolf Management Stamp" to "Wolf Conservation Stamp."
