Being Mindful of those who are unable to speak for themselves; our Non-Two Legged Relations and the Future Generations.

It's about walking on the Canka Luta Waste Behind the Cannunpa and the ceremonies.

Eve, Winona, and Louise - LIVE BROADCAST 7:30PM CST: Extreme Extraction and Violence Against Native Women

FEBRUARY 17, 2015 STARING AT 7:30 PM (cst)Honor the Earth joins One Billion Rising and the Women's Congress for an evening of conversation and music highlighting the intersection of extreme extraction and violence against Native women.

Join Winona LaDuke, Eve Ensler (author of Vagina Monologues, founder of One Billion Rising), and Louise Erdrich (Chippewa novelist, owner of Birch Bark Books) for a discussion of the connection between extreme fossil fuel extraction in the Bakken oil fields of ND and the Tar Sands of Alberta, and the sex trafficking of Native women and girls. This has become an epidemic that is largely ignored by the mainstream media.

7:30pm Main Program ($20 ticket), with music by Chastity Brown and local traditional musicians. The evening will also feature the work of local Native-led women’s organizations. All proceeds to benefit Honor the Earth in its work against extreme extraction.
